COMPRESSIBLE VISCOUS FLOW OVER SLENDER BODIES WITH PRESSURE GRADIENT, VARIABLE FLUID PROPERTIES, ARBITRARY LAWS OF SURFACE TEMPERATURE AND FOREIGN GAS INJECTION VELOCITY DISTRIBUTION.

Abstract

A Gortler's type series solution is developed for compressible viscous flows over slender bodies with pressure gradient, variable fluid properties, arbitrary laws of surface temperature and foreign gas injection velocity distribution. A detailed analysis of the external flow is carried out in order to show the effect of the free-stream Mach number on the flow variables in the external stream and to enable us to correlate the boundary layer coordinate with the physical distance on the body of a simple analytical expression.
