RESEARCH ON ANALYSIS OF AMINO ACIDS BY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY.

Abstract

A gas-liquid chromatographic procedure was developed for the analysis of the essential amino acids for man using the N-trifluoroacetyl methyl ester derivative. The procedure requires 2-1/2 hours for preparation of the sample and gas chromatographic resolution of all the common protein amino acids. The method was applied to the analysis of standard mixtures of amino acids, a protein hydrolyzate of ribonuclease and the free amino acids in human blood plasma. (Author)
