RECOMMENDATIONS FOR NATIONAL DOCUMENT HANDLING SYSTEMS IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

The report contains recommendations for a national document-handling system in science and technology. Problems in the scientific and technical information and document area are considered, and a set of principles and requirements for a national system are presented. The preferred system and four alternative approaches are developed and evaluated.
