EXPERIMENTAL MECHANICAL TIMER WITH DETATCHED LEVER ESCAPEMENT AND DIGITAL READOUT SYSTEM,
Abstract
Results of design investigations and performance tests are presented for an experimental mechanical interval timer. This unit was designed to provide one output, with an accuracy of =0.2 sec, selected from six possible timing intervals between 40 and 120 sec by a one-knob control. It is an all-mechanical system with a volume of approximately 6 cu in. The models performed within specifications, and test results indicate that the desired accuracy can be achieved in a production timer of this type. (Author)
