LYAPUNOV'S METHOD OF INVESTIGATING THE STABILITY OF MOTION OF RIGID BODIES WITH LIQUID-FILLED CAVITIES,
Abstract
A survey and discussion are given of nonlinear methods for investigation of the stability of stationary motions of rigid bodies with liquid-filled cavities. Lyapunov's method differs considerably from the methods of linear theory, and, being mathematically rigorous, makes it possible to obtain sufficient effective conditions for stability in a whole series of cases.
