FLOW OF A NON-ADIABATIC SUPERSONIC FLOW OF AN IDEAL GAS AROUND A FLAT PLATE,

Abstract

A discussion is given of the flow around a flat plate with a supersonic flow of an ideal gas in the presence of a heat generation zone connected with current lines and adjoining a surface of a plate. It is assumed that the rate of heat generation is proportional to the rate of fuel combustion calculated by the summary kinetic equation of certain power with a temperature dependence according to Arrhenius' Law. It is also assumed that in initial section the flow appears to be uniformly advancing and that the fuel in this section is uniformly mixed with air to the storcheometric ratio.
