COUPLING BETWEEN THE ENERGY GAP AND SINGLE PARTICLE ENERGY FOR NUCLEAR MATTER,

Abstract

The principle of compensation of dangerous diagrams is applied to second order which, when combined with the quasi particle self-energy to second order, gives a set of two nonlinear integral equations coupling the energy gap and the single particle energy. These equations are solved for a singlet state shell type interaction. Some remarks are made about their application to nuclear matter. (Author)
