Symposium abstracts are grouped in five topic areas: (1) education and training of documentalists, (2) organization of information for documentation, (3) information needs of science and technology, (4) information needs of society, and (5) principles of documentation and systems design. Contributed abstracts are arranged alphabetically by name of the first author. An author index is included.
