COMPARISON OF SKIP LOT AND GRAND LOT BALLISTIC TESTING BY USE OF COMPUTER SIMULATION.

Abstract

A computer simulation of the ballistic testing of a stockpile of ammunition was accomplished 100 times using four different stockpiles and sampling plans and three different production schemes. The goal of acceptance testing is uniform, serviceable ammunition. The statistical evidence presented indicates that skip lot testing is no more desirable than other possible methods of reduced ballistic testing. (Author)
