ACTIVE AND PASSIVE DEFENSE

Abstract

The report is primarily concerned with blast shelters, which are a passive form of defense. The technical aspects of active defense, i.e., intercepting and destroying the attacking bombers and ballistic missiles, are also examined, and the effectiveness of the active and passive defense systems are compared.
