THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FERROMAGNETIC MICROWAVE AMPLIFIER,

Abstract

The history and operation of the ferromagnetic microwave amplifier are briefly reviewed. A nonmathematical discussion of the various modulation processes involved in amplification is developed. The application of double pumping to the amplifier is treated as part of the modulation processes and a detailed description of an improved amplifier along with the experimental performance figure is given.
