A STUDY OF IMPULSE LOADING AND TRANSIENT ANALYSIS FOR PARAMETER EVALUATION OF SHIP HULLS AND APPENDAGES.

Abstract

Methods of impulse loading applicable to a real ship and the analysis of the corresponding vibrational response are discussed. Instrumentation specifications and results using full-scale ship data are tabulated. Recommendations for development of mechanical impulse devices and electronic transient response analyzers are given. (Author)
