CONDITIONS FOR THE APPLICATION OF AN INDIRECT METHOD OF ESTIMATING THE LOADS OF DIESELS ACCORDING TO FUEL CONSUMPTION AND RPM,

Abstract

The complex relationship of the engine loads to the form and condition of the ship's hull, the design and state of the screw propellers, the speed of the ship and the impossibility of successfully simulating certain conditions on the test stand necessitate the conducting of experiments in order to determine the loads of the main engines under on-board conditions.
