RE-ENTRY PHYSICS RESEARCH.

Abstract

Investigations were conducted in the areas of mixing and chemical reactions in turbulent wakes; analyses of optical deflections through a turbulent wake; shock structure in a non-reacting, ablating dust-laden gas; and shock tube studies of the optical and chemical properties of teflon in argon, nitrogen and air. The individual research topics are described in the following pages in the form of abstracts from completed reports, or progress reports on continuing activities. (Author)
