MAGNETOGASDYNAMIC HYPERCRITICAL FLOWS WITH SHOCKS.

Abstract

Two dimensional, steady, non-dissipative magnetogasdynamic flow around given slender bodies is investigated in the hypercritical (near A sq + M sq = 1) approximation. Similarity parameters are obtained by a simple method, and the flow over a double-wedge is formulated in the physical and in the hodograph planes. Two methods of solution are proposed, and a procedure for a digital computer given. (Author)
