STRESSES IN LUBRICATED ROLLERS CONSIDERING ARBITRARILY DISTRIBUTED NORMAL AND TANGENTIAL LOADS,

Abstract

A numerical solution to the stresses in lubricated rollers considering arbitrarily distributed normal and tangential loads is obtained. Results are obtained for rollers operating in the elastohydrodynamic regime with and without sliding. The effect of a small amount of slip in the contact is shown to be significant (Author)
