CONTINUUM THEORY OF NONLINEAR VISCOELASTICITY.

Abstract

An assessment of the recent developments in the field of nonlinear continuum mechanics is presented with the view of developing a systematic approach to the formulation of nonlinear theories of viscoelastic materials. Contact is established with various types of approximations useful in the treatment of engineering problems involving solid propellant materials. (Author)
