ORGANIC LUMINESCENT MATERIALS FOR OPTICAL MASERS

Abstract

The luminescence properties of aromatic hydrocarbons in plastic matrices were examined. The relation between luminescence and photoconductivity of zinc oxide and its dependence on environmental factors was established. A fluorescein plastic having properties indicative of induced emission was made and tested. A new method for determining the degree of coherence of non- monochromatic light sources was devised.
