ANTHROPOMETRY OF NAVAL AVIATORS. 1964

Abstract

Body size data for 96 measurements of 1,549 U.S. naval aviators are presented. The techniques of measurement are illustrated by schematic drawings and reference to the literature. Both diametral and surface measurements are included. Dimensions are given in both centimeters and inches. Statistics included are percentiles, means, standard deviations, and coefficients of variation. These data are presented for use by designers of aircraft workspaces and designers of personnel protective clothing and equipment.
