32S AND 31P EXCITATION BY 180 DEGREES ELECTRON SCATTERING,

Abstract

The differential cross sections were measured for inelastic scattering of 50 MeV electrons at 180 degrees by 31P and 32S nuclei. Using the long wave length approximation, lower limits for radiation widths were derived for the levels. For 32S the giant dipole resonance was investigated, and the results are compared with a recent calculation of B. M. Spicer. (Author)
