ANALYTICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF CORRELATION FUNCTIONS OVER HF CIRCUITS.

Abstract

The effects of the ionosphere were determined on multiple CW tones transmitted over a long haul HF circuit by recording the received data modulated by ionospheric perturbations. Reduction and analysis of the data was performed by computers. The results describe the channel behavior during various conditions of the ionosphere in terms of the correlation functions of the received signal, envelope, phase, probability distribution and fading bandwidth.
