A KINETIC STUDY OF THE THERMAL DECOMPOSITION OF SELECTED CYCLOHEXYL AND PHENYLSILANES.

Abstract

The decomposition kinetics of the phenylhydrosilanes (mono-, di-, and triphenylsilane) were studied with the aid of flow techniques. Decomposition occurs via second-order disproportionation reactions. Based on the kinetic factors of entropy and energy of activation and pre-exponentional factor, it is concluded that the decomposition occurs via a four-centered activated complex. (Author)
