DETERMINING THE OPTIMUM HEATING RATE FOR CERTAIN BODIES,

Abstract

The process of heating of bodies of regular geometric form is studied taking into account maximum thermal stresses when the temperature of the medium is a linear function of time. Dependences are obtained which make it possible to determine the optimum rate of heating with respect to the permissible value of maximum thermal stresses for any values of the Biot criterion.
