ON PROBLEMS CONCERNING THE LEGAL STATUS OF OUTER SPACE,

Abstract

The scientific development with regard to space missiles (intercontinental ballistic missile) and man-made satellites has today introduced a new era in the advancement of man. The pattern of the use of outer space by scientific means will undoubtedly unfold in a context of conditions which will be certain to effect the law of space as it develops over the years. This has brought about the present situation with respect to international law of outer space. The concept of outer space law and its various legal interpretations have also become matters of international significance. However, the aggressive attempt of the United States imperialists in regard to the possible use of outer space has further created aggravated conflicts between two camps, namely, whether the exploration of outer space is for 'peaceful purposes' or for 'military purposes.'
