AN INVESTMENT POLICY TO REDUCE THE TRAVEL TIME IN A TRANSPORTATION NETWORK.

Abstract

The principal aim of a transportation study is to produce a plan for a future transportation network. This network should satisfy the traffic demands placed upon it and give service to users on the basis of some acceptable criteria within certain budgetary, political and social constraints. Out of a large number of engineering design problems which naturally arise, this dissertation considers a special problem of economic investment in a transportation network. (Author)
