THE DESIGN OF A FACILITY FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF HUMAN PILOT DYNAMICS.

Abstract

The report describes the modification of the UTIAS CF-100 flight simulator and the development of a data analysis technique in order to study human operators in a realistic flight environment. The operator forms part of a closed loop system which may consist of one or two degrees of freedom. A method of analyzing data obtained from short record runs is presented which is similar to the well known cross-correlation, cross-power spectral density method. (Author)
