REACTIONS OF FREE RADICALS CONTAINING NITROGEN.

Abstract

Hydrazines, Anilines and Cyanides were pyrolysed and the heats of formation of the resultant radicals and the strengths of the bonds formed by them deduced. The reactions of methyl and ethyl radicals with a variety of amino compounds were studied. The reactions of difluoroamino radicals in the addition to olefins and aromatic compounds and in the transfer of hydrogen and halogen atoms were investigated. (Author)
