BEARING MATERIAL INVESTIGATION.

Abstract

A series of materials was studied for geometric stability, friction, and resistance to abrasive wear to establish the potential utility of the material for use in the construction of bearings to be lubricated by water. Tentative base lines for the study of new and modified materials were established. (Author)
