QUANTITATIVE RELATIONS AMONG MEASURES OF BEHAVIOR UNDER A FIXED-INTERVAL SCHEDULE OF REINFORCEMENT.

Abstract

Behavior of subjects under a fixed-interval schedule of reinforcement is often represented in a plot of cumulative responses versus time. Three performance measures were suggested to characterize the behavior represented in such a plot: the index of curvature, the quarter life, and the first half ratio. The paper describes the quantitative relationships among these three measures. (Author)
