MEASUREMENT OF FREQUENCY DEVIATION,

Abstract

The information contained in this circular is intended solely for the utilization of the Navy Calibration Program. Frequency deviation, swept symmetrically from a center frequency, is often used in the alignment of frequency modulation receivers. Other uses are the alignment or test of video amplifiers for radar service and wideband amplifiers where the rapid and accurate setting of the bandpass and contour are desired. The purpose of this circular is to discuss several methods which have been used or developed to measure the accuracy of FM generators commonly used to meet the above needs.
