THE SPAR HYDROPHONES,
Abstract
Twenty hydrophones were procured for the SPAR research platform to cover the range from 100 cps to 10 kc with a nominal ceramic sensitivity of -81 db re 1 volt/microbar and a preamplifier gain of 21 db. The hydrophones are described in detail, along with calibration results for sensitivity, frequency response, directivity, relative phase, and self noise level. (Author)
