VLF RELATIVE PHASE PREDICTIONS FOR SELECTED TRANSMISSION PATHS.

Abstract

Predictions of the relative phase of seven very-lowfrequency (vlf) transmissions as received at selected receiver locations, during the summer and winter solstice, and the spring and fall equinox, are presented. The vlf transmitting stations and the operating frequencies considered are NWC (15.5 kc/s), NPM (26.1 kc/s), NPG (18.6 kc/s), NAA (17.8 kc/s), NBA (24.0 kc/s), NSS (21.4 kc/s), and GBR (16.0 kc/s). The receiving locations used are Guam, Honolulu, San Francisco, San Juan, Norfolk, Keflavik, Port Lyautey, and Asmara. However, predictions are not presented for all the transmitter-receiver location combinations given above. (Author)
