THEORY OF COAGULATION AND PRECIPITATION OF PARTICLES OF AEROSOL IN TURBULENT FLOW OF GAS. ON THE COEFFICIENT OF CAPTURE OF AEROSOL PARTICLES.

Abstract

In turbulent flow, precipitation of particles does not take place if the velocity of their fall in the field of gravity is small compared to the characteristic velocity of the turbulent disturbance (this always takes place for aerosol). An exception may be the region at a very small distance from the horizontal fixed surface, where turbulent motion of the fluid is hindered.
