AN INVESTIGATION OF VISION DURING INVOLUNTARY SACCADIC EYE MOVEMENTS.

Abstract

The purpose of the investigation reported here was to determine whether or not vision is present during involuntary saccades. The results indicate that vision is present, though impaired, during the involuntary saccades. Evidence is also presented which indicates that an intensity threshold factor is involved. Further, it is strongly suggested that the visual impairment is due to a blue or smear of the retinal image.
