Abstract

A study of the Common Market; its past problems, current difficulties, and future possibilities are presented. The study consists of seven sections, each of which may be read independently: (1) an introduction to the Common Market; (2) the Common Market and internal trade; (3) external economic policies of the European Economic Community; (4) the European Free Trade Association; (5) prospective members of the European Economic Community; (6) European Economic Community agriculture; and (7) the Common Market and European political unification. Statistical tables showing import and export data of the Common Market countries are appended. (Author)
