PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR CAPACITORS, FEED-THROUGH, SOLID ELECTROLYTE TANTALUM PELLET.
Abstract
Qualification testing of preproduction samples was continued into this quarter. Group II Tests (shock, vibration, salt spray, temperature and immersion) were completed and there were no failures. Group V Test (Life) completed 2017 hours. There was only one unit that failed the life test (a short at 1373 hours) under normal operating conditions of 35 VDC, 85C. This is exclusive of the failures lost due to oven overheating. (Author)
