ELECTRONICALLY STEERABLE ARRAY

Abstract

The report describes the effort expended during the third quarter on the Engineering Change ''A'' portion of the Electronically Steerable Array Program to design and build a high gain, electronically steerable, millimeter antenna system. During this period the block of ferrite used in the scanner was tapered so that the output end was larger than the input. This resulted in greater scan capability and lower sidelobes. In addition, the design of the final antenna model was finalized and construction of the antenna started.
