A NEW SOLUTION OF THE BUCKLING PROBLEM OF THIN CIRCULAR CYLINDRICAL SHELLS HEATED ALONG AN AXIAL STRIP.

Abstract

With the aid of a set of orthonormal functions the critical temperatures are calculated for thin-walled circular cylindrical shells rapidly heated along a narrow axial strip. The results obtained are compared with experimental data of an earlier investigation. (Author)
