THE USE OF SIMULATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MAN-MACHINE SYSTEMS,

Abstract

QSeveral simulation techniques used in man-machine system development are described. However, the main emphasis is on a special type of laboratory simulation frequently used in the study of systems at the Paramus Facility of the System Development Corporation. The advantages and shortcomings of this technique are discussed. Furthermore, the procedures developed for studying a problem in the Simulation Laboratory are presented. The physical description of the Simulation Laboratory, its functions and personnel that care for the laboratory are presented in the Appendix of the paper. (Author)
