HAYSTACK POINTING SYSTEM: PERIPHERAL PROGRAMS

Abstract

A set of eight non-real-time service programs was written in support of the Haystack Pointing System to facilitate system maintenance and updating. Peripheral functions afforded by this set of programs include: (1) format conversion and remote printing facility of the SPURT assembler printer outputs 210, 211 and 212; (2) magnetic tape dumping; (3) 'effective' punched card input to SPURT assembler; (4) CalComp plotting of system output; (5) punched card equivalents of Common Storage Allocation Tape; (6) automatic program loading with bootstrap tape generation facilities; (7) magnetic tape duplication; and (8) automatic updating of system tapes.
