CIVIL DEFENSE COMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH, TASK 1.

Abstract

The survivability problem of communications systems - from the viewpoint of analysis - is defined as the problem of relating varying levels of destruction to surviving traffic-handling capability. Using linear graph concepts, three network survivability design parameters are specified and then related to varying levels of destruction. A procedure is then provided for translating surviving 'connectivity' into a traffic-handling measure - the Priority Completion Index. (Author)
