DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF ORTHOTROPIC CYLINDRICAL SANDWICH SHELLS UNDER INITIAL STRESS,

Abstract

A linearized theory of motion of cylindrical sandwich shells, subjected to a general state of initial stress, is established. The effects of orthotropic core and orthotropic facing sheets of unequal thickness are included. As an application, an analysis of free vibration is presented. (Author)
