THE VOLT-AMPERE CHARACTERISTICS OF AN ELECTRO-HYDRODYNAMIC GENERATOR.

Abstract

The report details the investigation of an electrohydrodynamic generator in which a moving flow of air carries ions against an electric field by viscous interaction, extracting energy from the flow and converting it to electric energy. The purpose of the investigation is to demonstrate the feasibility of such energy conversion, to observe the effects of generator geometry and flow conditions, and to compare observed performance with a theoretical analysis.
