Abstract

A laboratory manual describing the bacteriological and serological procedures used in the identification of beta hemolytic streptococii is presented. This manual is designed to aid the laboratory technician in setting-up a laboratory for the identification of beta hemolytic streptococci. Throughout the manual attention is drawn to the pitfalls commonly encountered by personnel not familiar with the beta hemolytic streptococci. (Author)
