THE WORTH OF TARGET KILL ASSESSMENT SYSTEMS.

Abstract

A model is developed for predicting the expected number of attacks to be made as a function of the target kill assessment (TKA) probabilities, the single attack kill probability, the confidence on the level of kill desired, and the maximum number of attacks available. The expected number of attacks is compared with the expected number of attacks required if no TKA data are available. Finally, the maximum number of attacks that might be required to achieve the desired kill confidence is computed. (Author)
