POLYMERS CONSISTING OF AROMATIC RINGS CONJUGATED WITH HETEROATOMS,

Abstract

By the method of polycondensation of aromatic diamines and diatomic phenols, polymers were obtained--polyphenyleneimes, which contained in the chain aromatic rings, which were in conjugation with atoms of nitrogen which separated them. The electrical and magnetic properties of the polymers obtained, were investigated. All specimens possess increased electrical conductivity, have positive, static magnetic susceptibility and reveal signals of EPR in the basic state. (Author)
