LOW TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES OF LIQUID HE3,

Abstract

A review is presented of simple theoretical concepts and current experimental results on the properties of liquid helium-3 at low temperatures and low pressures. Some of the topics covered are the extent of experimental confirmation of Landau's theory of the Fermi Liquid; the possible transition into a superfluid phase; the observation of zero-sound; and the importance, and present difficulties, in 'microscopic' probing of the elementary excitations.
