THE POTENTIAL FLOW OF A FLUID INTO A SAMPLING PROBE,

Abstract

The velocity potential for a uniformly distributed sink disk is calculated. With this result the flow of a fluid into sampling probe is estimated. The distance from the probe at which the flow is distroted by a given amount is computed as a function of the sampling rate and an expression is given for the computation of the flow time from the above point to the probe.
