Thermal Decomposition of Irradiated Materials

Abstract

A study was made of the influence of irradiation on the thermal decomposition of solid compounds. The article is divided into three sections. The first is a summary of present day knowledge of decompositions of unirradiated solids. These are the basic control experiments and the main purpose of this section is to familiarize the reader with the basic language of the field. The second section deals with the influence of irradiation itself, while the third section examines very briefly some related topics.
