AN INFORMATION STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM FOR THE SPECIAL DOCTRINE AND EQUIPMENT GROUP.

Abstract

The paper describes a proposed Information Storage and Retrieval System developed for use by the Special Doctrine and Equipment Group, a subordinate command of the United States Army Combat Developments Command. The system consists of a Keysort card file indexing operation that allows SDEG personnel to record, store, abstract, and retrieve information pertinent to the operation of their Command. Cross-referencing of information is accomplished by punch-indexing the edges of a Keysort card specifically designed for SDEG use. (Author)
